Assessment and Diagnosis of Sexual Dysfunctions, Gender Dysphoria, and Paraphilic Disorders

Whether you are working on becoming a more sex positive provider or working towards AASECT Certification, this workshop will provide you with must-have foundational skills. Together, we will learn the art of taking a sexual health assessment that is affirming and trauma-informed. From there, we will break down the complexities of using the DSM-V-TR and the ICD-11 to define and diagnose Sexual Dysfunctions, Gender Dysphoria, and Paraphilic Disorders. Finally, we will expand these concepts across the gender spectrum, allowing providers to think beyond the binary and move from concepts of dysfunction and pathology towards pleasure, euphoria, and embodiment.

Becoming a Fat Positive Counselor: An Un-learning and Re-learning Guide for competently working with Clients of Size

This course is an unlearning of systemic fatphobia and its racist origins and learning how to empathetically hold space for our clients of size who want to work on their body image. Introduction to Psychopharmacology

This 1.75 hour course, presented by Dr. Jeremy Neuman, MD of Ally Primary Care will provide an overview of psychopharmacology for therapists. Learners will receive an introduction to the basics of pharmacologic approaches to treating common mental health conditions, gain an understanding of when to make a referral and how to best work collaboratively with the prescribing provider once medications have been prescribed.

Overview of Sexually Transmitted Infections

This 1.25 hour workshop, designed for sexual health and wellness professionals, provides an overview of sexually transmitted infections. The workshop will provide an understanding of Sexually Trransmitted Infections using a sex positive lens and provide an understanding of prevention strategies and testing options. Additionally, Dr. Neuman helps learners create a framework for discussing STIs with their clients and develop an understanding of what is and is not within a professionals control when responding to STI concerns. This workshop meets the requirements of the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists. Learning DBT Skills Through Gaming: Omori

In this course, we will learn about Omori, a game centered around a young boy and his friends who are processing themes such as suicide, grief, trauma, and dissociation. After learning about the game and its themes, we will discuss the DBT skills already embedded in the game and how we can best communicate the use of these skills to clients.
