Workshop Description
This comprehensive workshop is designed for Masters-level, pre-licensed, provisionally licensed, and licensed mental health professionals who are considering or actively planning to work via Telehealth while residing outside of the United States. The presentation is led by Elliott Glenn Hutchinson, NCC, who specialized in somatic practices and IFS/Parts Work, with a focus on LGBTQ+, ASD, and ADHD late-diagnosed adults. Elliott's journey began with a knowledge gap in how a US therapist could work internationally, a challenge they successfully bridged.
Who Should Attend: Mental health professionals seeking practical, lived-experience insights into the regulatory, logistical, and personal aspects of providing mental health care to US clients from an international location.
The workshop uses a combination of lecture and socratic method teaching styles, incorporating a slide deck, a brief activity, discussion questions, and additional resources. It emphasizes creating a "brave space" to learn, centering the experiences of oppressed people, and leading with love and compassion. Crucially, the workshop is not a source of legal, tax, financial, or immigration advice.
