Sex-Positive Counseling: Foundations & Recovery Bundle

This training bundle supports clinicians in building both foundational knowledge and applied skills for addressing sexuality in clinical practice.

Let’s Talk About Sex: An Intro to Sex-Positive Counseling focuses on developing comfort, self-awareness, and core competencies in sex-positive care, including sexual health assessment and referral practices.

Sex, Sexuality, and Recovery expands this work by exploring the relationship between substance use and sexual behavior, with practical strategies for addressing high-risk behaviors, shame, and supporting healthy sexual expression in recovery.

Together, these courses provide a clear progression from foundational understanding to clinical application, helping clinicians engage in conversations about sexuality with greater confidence and competence.

Ideal for therapists, counselors, and helping professionals pursuing AASECT certification or strengthening their work in sex-positive, recovery-informed care.

Participants will earn a combined total of 6 AASECT and NBCC hours.

Meet Your Instructor!

Nick Marzo, MS LPC, LMHC, CST-S, ACS

(he/him/sir)

Hi, I’m Nick. I am a trans masculine genderqueer Professional Counselor, Sex, Therapist and Supervisor and I am looking forward to sharing my knowledge with you! I am a seasoned and talented therapist but my true joy in life is mentoring, supervising, and sharing what I have learned across my career.

Sex? WOW, who wants to talk about that?!?! ME! Not only do I want to talk about it, I enjoy talking about it, call it a special topic of interest if you will. What makes my workshops a little different is that I come at things through a very queer lens and give you, the learner, permission to explore your boundaries and break free of the messages they teach us as therapists. I invite you to learn and live free.
