Grant D. Sparks, MS, LPC, LCPC, NCC is a Certified Geek Therapist, Program Coordinator of the Geek Path, Board Member for the nonprofit Gaming the Systems, circuit panelist, lecturer, educator, and consultant. Grant has been a mental health professional for 14 years, working in addiction recovery, sober living and halfway house management, peer counseling, and private practice.  Grant works within several communities in which he shares identity, all of which have significant levels of overlap. He works with geeks, nerds, dorks, and dweebs, LGBTQIA folx, the kink community, and racial, relationship structure, cultural, religious/spiritual minorities. Grant is a specialist in the therapeutic modality known as Geek Therapy which seeks to utilize the passion and purpose that people get from participating in various mediums of Geek Culture to help promote healing and growth. He is a professional Game Master, content creator, and group facilitator, with 20 years of experience in the world of TTRPGs and board games. Utilizing his expertise and life experience of being a big, gay, black, nerd, Grant strives to help the people in his communities grind XP, dungeon crawl, re-spec, and level up their way into healing, balance, and authenticity.
