At the completion of this workshop, learners will be able to:

• Describe how recent legislative trends affecting LGBTQ+ communities influence the mental health, healthcare access, and wellbeing of queer and trans individuals.
• Identify ethical, professional, and role-appropriate avenues for therapists and healthcare providers to engage in legislative and policy advocacy.
• Develop at least one concrete advocacy strategy that can be implemented within participants’ professional roles.
